I share in the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia these photographs of autumn revealing itself in Massoteres, a small municipality of La Segarra where the fallen leaves form circles around the trees with increasingly more bare branches.

The old town of Massoteres is made up of an almost circular street with short, covered alleys in some places. The town center preserves its medieval appearance. It includes the towns of Palou de Torà and Talteüll.

There are unique houses, such as Can Soler, of Renaissance type, and Cal Pintor, with noble emblems. The parish church of Sant Salvador is neoclassical in style.

This is a land basically dedicated to the agricultural economy and livestock. The landscape enjoys luminosity this autumn with hardly any rainfall.

The municipal term of Massoteres is located in the northeastern sector of the plain of Guisona and extends to the banks of the Llobregós river, which forms the northern limit of the municipality. It is bordered by the terms of Guisona, Sant Guim de la Plana, Torá and Biosca.
