The support of the Popular Party for the investiture of Jaume Collboni, essential for the election of the new socialist mayor, beyond the political interests and the calculations of the different formations that have intervened in this operation, is accompanied by the acceptance by the PSC of a series of city proposals contained in a four-page document to which La Vanguardia has had access. In it, the formation led by Daniel Sirera emphasizes issues related to security, economic activity, cleanliness of the city, mobility, social policies, the cultural field, housing and urban planning and infrastructures.
In aspects related to security, the PP demands a thousand new agents of the Urban Guard and demands the Collboni government to demand 3,000 Mossos agents from the Generalitat. It demands “institutional support for the agents of the Urban Guard” and that security cameras be installed in the most conflictive areas. Likewise, it is committed to a reinforcement of security in the metro and the creation of an Antiokupa Office with budgetary allocation, in addition to the 100% IBI subsidy to the owners of occupied houses.
In the economic sphere, the PP calls for the implementation of an administrative simplification plan; the resolution of licenses in the two months provided by law; the suppression of the hotel moratorium and the tourist tax surcharge; the revision of the plans of commercial uses to guarantee the opening of new businesses the extension of the schedules of the terraces ensuring and the reduction of the rate; a plan to improve municipal markets endowed with 100 million euros and the review of subsidies that are granted directly, among other measures.
In its list of requests to Collboni, the PP includes a cleaning and maintenance shock plan; the elimination of door-to-door garbage collection and the installation of a thousand new litter bins.
In the field of mobility, the PP demands an audit of the superblocks and while the results are not available, the suspension of all of them, as well as the reversal of tactical urban planning.
The PP also demands a bet on the motorcycle, so that they can circulate on the bus lane; the no to the tram on the Diagonal and the recovery of the Tramvia Blau, in addition to the review of the existing bike lanes and the suppression of the one on Via Augusta and Ganduxer street.
With regard to home care, the claim for 60 million euros is included to improve the provision of the service, the creation of the Family Council and the provision of decent residential spaces for the homeless and their pets.
In the cultural sphere, the PP calls for the creation of the museum mountain on Montjuïc, a strategic plan for Paral•lel and the recovery of the Arnau theatre. Also the normalization of bilingualism in all municipal areas.
Another outstanding aspect of Sirera’s demands against Collboni is the repeal of the obligation to allocate 30% of new housing developments to social apartments; the elimination of the right of first refusal and withdrawal; the construction of between 40,000 and 50,000 homes and the elimination of the rent limitation.
Finally, the PP proposes expanding the coastal ring road and advancing in the burying of the Dalt ring road, the coverage of the Gran Via between Glòries and the Barcelona exit, the coverage of the Mig ring road, leading the expansion of the airport and claiming the Generalitat the completion of the L9 metro.
