The rain and snow water has finally arrived, with fifty liters in Torelló (Osona) and with snow on the tops of the Pyrenees. In addition, a recovery in the flow of the Ter and Ges rivers has been seen in Osona, although the most illustrative image is that the Salt del Cabrit waterfall can be seen again, at the tail of the Sau reservoir, as seen in Las Photos from La Vanguardia Readers.
To the south of Sant Martí Sescorts we find the well-known Salt del Cabrit, where the stream rushes into the pools and the Sau reservoir, in front of the monastery of Sant Pere de Casserres, in the meander of the Ter.
For a long time and in an unusual way, what is normally the spectacular Barra de Ferro waterfall, over the Gorgues stream, very close to the hermitage of Sant Bartomeu Sesgorgues, has been dry, affected by drought. But, with the latest rains, you can enjoy this great waterfall again.
You can get there enjoying an attractive excursion for this time of year. To get to Salt del Cabrit by car, you have to go towards l’Esquirol on the BV-5207 road. And there, take the C-153 towards Manlleu.
Just before reaching the Sant Martí Sescorts turnoff there is another one on the road on the right if you are arriving from Barcelona (on the left if you are arriving from Cantonigròs or Rupit from l’Esquirol).
