The Madrid City Council does not authorize the celebration of the Reggaeton Beach Festival scheduled for this weekend in the area where MadCool was held, the Ibredrola Music space, because “the security conditions or adequate evacuation for an event are not guaranteed of these characteristics”.
This week a security meeting was held with the Government Delegation where all the parties involved conveyed “their concern” about holding this festival in a “complex location for mobility when large events take place.”
The Madrid City Council justifies that this decision is adopted after the organizer presented an “incomplete” mobility plan today. In addition, the Madrid City Council Fire Department, which previously supervised the event, has issued an “unfavorable” report.
From the City Council they add that they do not have authorization to exceed the maximum decibels established in the noise ordinance either.
