The PSPV-PSOE has lamented today that “Mazón has appointed a Council hostage to the extreme right, with old glories of Zaplana, with defectors and from the past”. members of the new Government of the Generalitat, about which he recalled that “it has the enormous responsibility of working for the vast majority of Valencian men and women, not for a few or for the elites as the Popular Party does every time it governs”.
In this sense, the socialist leader has pointed out that “the Popular Party has been talking about ‘change’ for months when in reality what we are seeing is a trip to the worst past of our land” and has ironized that “Zaplana raises them and they they get together”. “It is a government of the past, with the brand of Zaplana, beginning with President Mazón himself, and we all know what happened at that stage,” she criticized. In addition, Torró has stressed that “it is a Council that welcomes undercover defectors such as Mrs. Merino, a habitual practice of the same PP as always.”
Likewise, Torró has pointed out that “we Socialists give the members of the new Consell a hundred days of grace, not one more” and has trusted that “time and the convictions for corruption have been of some use and that the PP will not condemn the Valencian Community again”. “This is an impasse, in 2027 the Socialists will return to the Generalitat”, he concluded.
For his part, the Ombudsman for Compromís, Joan Baldoví, pointed out that “the new Consell stands out for its Zaplaniste ties and representing business lobbies to carry out privatizations and cutbacks.” For the trustee, “there is no worse start than putting someone who has applauded the censorship of children’s magazines at the helm of cultural management, which has to be synonymous with freedom, as is the case of Vicente Barrera.”
