The PSC returns to govern Sant Feliu de Llobregat, the capital of Baix Llobregat

Lourdes Borrell (PSC) regained the mayorship of Sant Feliu de Llobregat after being invested with the votes of her party and its government partners, Tots Som Sant Feliu, the local Junts brand, and Veïns de Sant Feliu, a local candidacy .

Borrell was, between 2010 and 2011, the last mayor of the PSC in the capital of Baix Llobregat. Now, after being the force with the most votes in the municipal elections of 28-M, she will govern with an absolute majority thanks to a tripartite municipal executive, as was signed this Friday.

In his speech, Borrell announced that some of the new government’s priorities will be “maintenance of public roads, improved cleanliness and landscaping, the recovery of public services, dignified facilities, reinforcement of civility and security, adaptation to climate change and commitment to economic development and employment policies,” the City Council said in a statement.

The new tripartite of Sant Feliu de Llobregat means a change of government. During the last term, when the long-awaited works to bury the tracks began, Sant Feliu en Comú Podem and ERC governed together, dividing up the mayor’s office. Historically, the city has been governed by the PSUC, ICV or the commons in most cases.
