The general secretary of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, has suggested this Monday that the president of the Government will not be part of the first list of appearances that the Popular Group will register in the Senate investigation commission on the so-called Koldo case, ensuring that “today it is only the beginning” and that the PP list is “open”. Of course, she has made it clear that “anyone who has to give an explanation” will be summoned to the Upper House during the work of this body.

“It is a broad list, but it is an open list. The requests for appearances begin, but evidently today is only the beginning,” Gamarra assured journalists upon his arrival at the General Commission of Autonomous Communities that is being held in the Senate to debate the amnesty law.

According to the calendar managed by the Senate, the commission has given the parliamentary groups until this Monday at 2:00 p.m. to submit their proposals for appearances and on Wednesday, April 10, the commission will meet to begin establishing a calendar. The PP anticipates that the first appearances can be held at the end of April.

Gamarra has pointed out that, apart from the “political corruption” that in his opinion Pedro Sánchez practices with the amnesty law to remain in Moncloa, “economic corruption that undoubtedly corners the Socialist Party” is also occurring in Spain.

“Today Pedro Sánchez is weaker than ever, he is cornered by political corruption and economic corruption and this materializes in increasing rejection by Spanish society,” he said.

When asked if the PP will call the head of the Executive to that Senate investigation commission, Gamarra indicated that today the work plan of that commission will be presented, in which “a lot of information” and “a lot of information” will be requested. documentation” because the PP is going to do “serious and profound work to reach the end.”

At this point, he has indicated that the PP will request the appearance of “all those” who “have something to say” about this case. In this sense, he has made it clear that the list of his party’s appearances “will be open.” “Today we begin and, therefore, it will be the first list to start working and as we progress in the investigations and with all the documentation in our hands we will advance with more appearing parties so that, based on the documentation that has already been collected, we can can carry out this investigation in depth,” he explained.

In this sense, he stressed that the PP will call to appear “all those who consider throughout this process that they have to appear and that they have to give explanations to the Spanish people about the corruption that corners the Socialist Party in the sphere of the Government.” from Spain”.

When later asked if the PP is considering calling Sánchez’s wife, Begoña Gómez, because of her relations with Air Europa and other companies, the general secretary of the PP has indicated that they will summon all those who they consider “have to appear and have “have to give explanations to the Spanish people about the corruption that corners the PSOE”.

For now, he has pointed out that the Popular Group will summon the president of Congress and former president of the Balearic Islands, Francina Armengol, and the minister of Territorial Policy and former president of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, for this alleged plot of bribes in the purchase of masks. during the pandemic.

He has also alluded to “people who have had high responsibilities such as organizational secretaries of that party”, thus alluding to former minister José Luis Ábalos, who was PSOE’s Secretary of Organization.

“It is a broad list but it is an open list. The requests for appearances begin, but evidently today is only the beginning,” Gamarra added when asked again if Sánchez will not be on that first list of appearances. “Anyone who has to give an explanation will come here to give it and as long as they are not given, obviously everyone is susceptible to being called,” she concluded.
