Alberto Núñez Feijóo has nothing to say about the documents made public by several media outlets, including La Vanguardia, about the Catalunya operation, which reveal the information that police officials supposedly transmitted to the then President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, from the Ministry of the Interior, to confront the Catalan independence crisis, with procedures outside the law.
Sources from the PP assured La Vanguardia that the popular leader has nothing to say about it since it is an issue that dates back more than 12 years, when Alberto Núñez Feijóo had no responsibility either for the Government or in the leadership of the PP. .
Furthermore, the same sources emphasize that the matter is “judicialized”, so the PP has nothing to say until it knows the sentence handed down by the courts, when the case is judged, and that is why the PP will remain outside of the information that is published, since it has no possibility of verifying it.
Likewise, the PP emphasizes that the current leadership of the PP does not have more information about Operation Catalunya than what the media has published and is publishing, so it cannot comment on the matter since it does not know first-hand that information.
