I took this photograph for La Vanguardia Readers’ Photos, acting as a spotter from the Mirador de los Aviones in El Prat de Llobregat. I have captured the beautiful moment when the plane seems to kiss the sun at dawn. The star and the aircraft were in full conjunction.
Spotting is the observation and recording of aircraft. It is a practice so popular among photography lovers that they are called spotters.
In El Prat, being a busy airport, it is easy to enjoy landings and takeoffs of different aircraft models every few minutes.
Around the airport there are at least three places, three large viewpoints, prepared to enjoy this spectacle. Each of them allows you to see the planes in a different way.
The area of ??stone benches is the most typical location and where there are the most people. The Mirador de los Aviones del Prat de Llobregat is an observatory that offers views of the aircraft that operate at Barcelona airport.
It was built in 2007, after the City Council realized the expectation that hundreds of residents of the town aroused when they saw how the aircraft took off and landed.
The viewpoint is divided into the Camí de Valencia viewpoint and Tubular viewpoint.
