In La Vanguardia’s Readers’ Photos we can see the silhouette of this cyclist silhouetted with the summit of Tagamanent in the background and the entire Pla de la Calma del Montseny, an image that conveys peace and freedom.
The landscape of Pla de la Calma is made up of large expanses of meadows and heath, a bush formation. It is a plateau located in the westernmost part of the Montseny massif, where it joins other large mountain groups: the Turó de l’Home (1706 m), les Agudes (1703 m) and the Turó de Matagalls (1697 m).
The wide extension of the Calm Plan includes several municipalities, such as Figueró, Tagamanent, Sant Pere de Vilamajor, Garriga and Cànoves and Samalús.
The Pla de la Calma is crossed by the long-distance path GR 5, known as the Sendero de los Miradores, which joins the GR 97 del Vallès by the short-distance path PR-C 139, known as the Pi Novell path , thus crossing the municipal area of ??Sant Pere de Vilamajor.
Turó de Tagamanent (Vallès Oriental), 1055 meters above sea level, is just 50 km from Barcelona. At the top, in addition to spectacular views, there is a castle with a church inside, Santa Maria.
