The summer musical festival in Maresme, Arts d’Estiu, which was held in Pineda de Mar, is considered completely extinct. In its place, Nits d’Estiu is born, a new musical event that will be held in the area without housing known as La Llàntia, in the municipality of Santa Susanna, as La Vanguardia reported at the beginning of February.
The concert promoter The Project will continue to manage the performances, according to the agreement signed with the Town Councils of Pineda de Mar and Santa Susanna. There will be 12 performances. For the moment, the invited artists will not be known until next Monday, pending the conclusion of some legal aspects. However, names like Malú or Sergio Dalma are already being heard.
In the coastal area of ??La Llàntia, with an area of ??30,000 m2. In the municipality of Santa Susanna, the stage will be installed and also the Village, which will change its name, with the restaurant and leisure area, which will be located in the municipality of Pineda, as was already carried out in the 2019 festival. The event will be held during the first twenty days of August. The performances will begin at 9:00 p.m. and the leisure area will close at 12:00 a.m.
One of the conditions imposed by one of the parties was that the name of Arts d’Estiu did not appear anywhere in the new collaboration, since the company that organized the previous festivals and that depends directly on the Pineda Cultural Center, which continues linked to the event, it was also called Arts d’Estiu.
At the moment, the Pineda de Mar City Council has already signed the sponsorship contract with Nits d’Estiu, while the Santa Susanna City Council will do so shortly once some legal aspects in the process of finalization have been resolved. The connection that the Cultural Center will have as founders of the festival show is also unknown.
The last word, however, will be the Department of Costs of the Generalitat and Urbanism, but the fact that the musical festivals will no longer be held on the Pins de Pineda beach will favor an agreement to hold them on the beach. of La Llàntia where there are no nearby inhabited areas.
