There is less time left until this summer we can see a new season of one of the most mythical programs on Spanish Television, the Gran Prix, on our screens. The most anticipated and special contest for all Spaniards returns 18 years later to what was its home to face different towns from the Spanish geography in tests as fun as they are risky.

Ramón García will once again lead the contest, but this time he will do so with two new faces. The streamer Cristinini and the actress Michelle Calvó will accompany the presenter in this new adventure, which will be released soon.

To whet your appetite, Radio Televisión Española announced a few hours ago the towns that will compete in this new season. Aguilar de Campoo (Palencia), Alfacar (Granada), Brión (Coruña), Cervelló (Barcelona), Colmenarejo (Madrid), Los Montesinos (Alicante), Tineo (Asturias) and Yepes (Toledo), will be the towns that will try to win the victory prize.

Until the public network announces the exact date of the program, many are already those who can’t wait to see the return of one of their childhood programs and how good times it made them spend every summer night. At the moment, the new logo of the program has been revealed, very similar to the old one, and the dynamics of the competition. The towns will face two by two, in four deliveries. The winners will meet again in the semifinals and the best scored from each of them will face each other in the grand final.

The dynamics of the contest will be practically the same as it already had. Many of the tests that have remained in the retina of all viewers will be present again in this new stage. But if the contest has had an important change, there will be no heifer.

The new Animal Protection Law prohibits having live animals on television sets. So those responsible for the format have chosen to put a “super heifer” that will serve as a wild card for the towns and will serve to hinder the progress of the rival team, as VerTele announced.
