The central unit against sexual assaults (UCAS) of the Mossos d’Esquadra are investigating the rape that last Saturday at six in the afternoon in Badalona suffered a minor carried out by a group of between six and seven minors and some adults, among whom was the victim’s boyfriend. The minor was transferred after the complaint to the Can Ruti hospital, where she was approached by a psychologist specialized in these events from the Vall d’Hebron hospital where she received medical and psychological assistance.
According to what La Vanguardia has learned from various sources familiar with the case, the investigations are advancing at a good pace. Most of the aggressors are minors, residents of the Sant Roc neighborhood, and they have stated that that afternoon the victim’s boyfriend “invited” them to “rape” the minor together. Some of them recorded the attack with their mobile phones.
Around six in the afternoon, the Mossos d’Esquadra and the local Badalona police were alerted to the events. The sequence is not confirmed and the Catalan police do not report sexual assaults on minors, especially when the investigation is open.
Unofficial sources explained that when the first patrols arrived, the attackers fled in a stampede, abandoning pieces of clothing and mobile phones. The victim was cared for by an agent who took care of her until the arrival of an ambulance from the Servei d’Emergències Mèdiques, which managed to stabilize her in the middle of an anxiety attack as soon as she began to verbalize the rape she had suffered. The minor assured that the eight young men sexually assaulted her with penetration.
