The Mossos d’Esquadra are investigating a WhatsApp group with high school students from Sant Cugat del Vallés where child pornography is distributed, according to Cugat Mèdia and police sources have confirmed to ACN.
Apparently, this is a very large group in which dozens of students have been added without consent and messages of this type would have been spread. Seeing the situation, at least one of the parents has filed a complaint with the Mossos d’Esquadra.
In the group, participants were encouraged to invite all contacts to join. Students from various institutes in Sant Cugat have been added, such as the Institut-Escola Catalunya.
The centers have contacted their parents to warn about the group, which has now been significantly reduced. A few weeks ago the existence of another group that also affected Catalan students and that was along the same lines was made public. A similar case was also experienced in the Basque Country, in Gipuzkoa, as well as in other communities.
