The Mossos d’Esquadra have found this Tuesday morning in Maçanet de la Selva (Girona) the two-year-old child whose father took him at gunpoint from the Torre Vicens Children’s Residential Center (CRAE) Lleida and the parents have been arrested, according to ‘Segre’ and confirmed by the Catalan police. With the mother and the baby was a brother, also tutored by the Generalitat who had escaped from a center in Arenys de Mar (Barcelona).
In Alcarràs (Lleida) they have arrested the father and mother in Maçanet de la Selva where the two children were also.
Father and mother are accused of a crime of child abduction and the man is also accused of a crime of threats with a firearm.
Both will be brought before the Court of Instruction number 2 of Lleida.
The minors have been transferred to police stations to be handed over to child care services.
The escaped minor fled on February 18 from a center in Arenys de Mar, it is suspected that he did so with the help of relatives
To take the baby from the center of Lleida, the father pointed a gun at a security guard and an educator.
