The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a 39-year-old man who had stolen a high-end car valued at 241,000 euros from a car rental company in Madrid.
The notice was given by a company worker, who warned that a car had not been returned on the agreed day and that the GPS signal located it in a scrapyard in Vilanova del Vallès.
The police captured the thief when he was trying to take the vehicle hidden in a container loaded on a large truck and heading towards the Port of Barcelona.
The man was brought before the court of Granollers on Tuesday.
