I took this photograph for Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia from the N-152 road, in what is known as the Collada de Toses, a mountain pass located between the counties of Ripollès and Baixa Cerdanya.

The machine parameters used were 1/15s, f/11 ISO100. A Nikon D750 was used with a Sigma Contemporary 150-600mm lens, shooting with a focal length of 400mm. The shooting distance in a straight line was 7.5 km.

A Sirui carbon tripod and a 50mm Arcteis head were used for the shot. Also, a stabilizer for the optics in order to avoid shaking.

The shot was taken at a temperature of -2ºC before dawn, to capture the moon setting over the peak of Tosa d’Alp and Niu de l’Àliga at 2537 meters above sea level, which also houses a shelter, bar , restaurant, and which you can access using the cable cars from the La Molina ski resort.

The sensation that the moon shows us in this image is the graceful movement it transmits as it slides gently down the inclined mountainside.
