The miraculous snow flowers of Cadí

I share in the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia a couple of photographs of the last snowfalls of recent days in the Prat de Cadí, an extensive meadow located at 1,826 meters of altitude.

In one of the snapshots you can clearly see the line where a good thickness of snow has remained, while in the other image we can see how the spring flowering tries to progress after being covered by snow.

Prat de Cadí is a haven of peace in the absence of the natural stone walls of the north face of the Cadí, in the domains of the natural park that has great biodiversity and many tourist attractions.

The Cadí and Moixeró mountain ranges form the backbone of an imposing mountain barrier that connects the Pyrenees and the Pre-Pyrenees.

There is an easy route from Estana, a population entity in the municipality of Montellà Martinet, in the Baixa Cerdanya region, to Prat de Cadí. Following a pleasant path we will reach the foot of the north face of Cadí, from where we can enjoy splendid panoramic views of this entire slope of the mountain range.
