The Salt de la Minyona is a beautiful viewpoint that is located at the top of the Mountains, dominating the risks of Vilanova de Sau, in the region of Osona, as seen in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.

At 832 meters high, you can admire a large part of the Guilleries. A large cliff serves as a privileged watchtower of the landscape, but it is not suitable for people with vertigo, as demonstrated by the iron safety railing, more than 80 meters, that outlines the cliffs.

The impressive landscape captivated the poet Jacint Verdaguer, who wrote a poem from his youth dedicated to the “nina del cingle.”

Also in prose he evoked the popular legend of the Salt de la Minyona, which tells the story of a maiden who jumped into the void and emerged unharmed.

The Salt de la Minyona is a highly visited place due to its easy access. To get there we will find the small chapel of La Verge del Camí.
