I have photographed in the Utxesa swamp, in the Segrià region, a solitary swan enjoying the waters of this reservoir belonging to the Canal de Seròs.
It is a unique swamp in Catalonia, because it is not located in any river, but in the middle of the Seròs Industrial Canal route, although it is considered within the Segre River basin.
The water arrives through the so-called small Seròs canal, with a maximum contribution of 60 m³/s and leaves in the direction of the hydroelectric plant through the large canal, with a maximum capacity of 120 m³/s.
It is a particularly interesting place to observe birds and, among them, the elegant and solitary presence of this swan is surprising.
One more attraction these days when many people come to these beautiful and quite unknown lands to contemplate the hypnotic and fascinating polychrome of the flowering of the fruit fields, which I have also portrayed in one of the photographs.
