Local Police officers have recently recovered two occupied buildings in different districts of Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelonès North).

The first space recovered was a commercial premises in District 5. Thanks to neighborhood collaboration, the Local Police received notice that the possible occupants of this space could have abandoned the premises. Arriving at the indicated place, the agents verified that the fence of the main door was closed and could not be accessed, but next to it there was an open window that had access to the interior, corroborating that the statements of the neighborhood witnesses were affirmative. Next, the premises were sealed to prevent a new occupation and the bars were secured with padlocks to guarantee that the premises would not be occupied again.

The second recovery of a property occurred in an apartment in District 6. Local Police officers went to the indicated property to verify that the neighborhood notice of the attempted occupation was positive. Once the presence of people inside the apartment was confirmed, the agents attempted to voluntarily leave the occupants, but they refused to do so voluntarily. Given this refusal, the police, using their professional tools, managed to access the usurped property, verifying the damage caused by the occupants, and the people involved in the occupation were reported for a crime of usurpation of property and real estate, damages and serious disobedience to the agents. of authority.

The mayor of the city, Nuria Parlon, has positively valued the recovery of the two occupied properties by the Local Police, ensuring that “it shows the work carried out by the various police units in the fight against this type of criminal acts.” . In the words of the mayor, “these cases are a true reflection of the determination and capacity with which the agents work daily to confront these situations, which also represent a real challenge for owners and for the communities of neighbors and neighbors.”
