The Local Police of Murcia has issued a statement in which it has admitted that the inspector who paralyzed the concert of the artist Rocío Saiz acted on his “own initiative”, his action being “not correct” and “not informing at any time of his intervention up the chain of command.”
In this sense, the Local Police of Murcia has publicly apologized to the singer whose concert was paralyzed by this inspector during the Murcia Pride party last Saturday, June 24, after the artist showed her breasts.
Thus, the Local Police has issued this statement in response to the numerous requests for information received after what happened last Saturday during the Rocío Saiz concert at the Pride festival held in Cardenal Belluga square.
In this regard, the Murcia Local Police has acknowledged that it was serving where the action was being carried out to guarantee the normal development of the same and that the inspector’s action was “not correct”.
Based on the events that occurred, the Murcia Local Police has opened a disciplinary file against the inspector in question, as stated in Organic Law 4/2010, of May 20, on the Disciplinary Regime of the National Police Force.
Likewise, the Local Police of Murcia has clarified that it has always wanted the Pride festival to take place “with total normality” and has ensured that it will always “ensure compliance with the laws and general provisions, as well as protect the rights of people and assets, and maintain and restore, where appropriate, order and public safety”.
“The Local Police of Murcia is an institution sensitive to the LGTBIQ collective, and many other groups and associations”, as the Corps has specified in the statement.
In fact, the Local Police has recalled that it collaborates closely with GAYLESPOL, the LGTBI Police Association that is committed to visualizing diversity within the police forces, guaranteeing the rights of the entire LGTBI collective and fighting against hatred and discrimination towards all person.
“The Local Police of Murcia appreciates the work done by the media, the interest shown, the objectivity and the help to continue improving the institution,” he concluded.
