The light is fantastic around the landscape that surrounds L’Agullola de Rupit at the time of capturing this series of photographs for Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.

It is one of the most emblematic rocks of Collsacabra. It is shaped like a needle, seems to have been shaped with a knife and is popularly known as the Mugró (nipple) of Catalonia.

The rock forms a cliff, a cliff in the form of an islet, as can be seen in the images. It has a characteristic crag separated from the riscal, called Agullola Grossa (922 meters high) and, on the southeastern slope, there is a smaller point of rock known as Agullola Xica, 800 meters high.

From the top of L’Agullola you can see a large part of the Collsacabra, the spectacular Salt de Sallent de Rupit (the biggest waterfall in Catalonia, although now also suffering from drought), the Guilleries or the Sau and Susqueda swamps, also lack of water this spring.

L’Agullola can be reached by the Sant Joan de Fàbregues de Rupit road and the Pla de l’Agullola forest trail.
