The British royal family’s Highgrove home in Gloucestershire has served as inspiration for one of England’s most iconic brands. In a heartfelt tribute to King Charles III, Burberry has launched a capsule collection with its classic trench coats lined with a floral print that alludes to the Highgrove garden.

In intense green, violet and also blue and yellow tones, the gardens that surround the private residence of King Charles III and Queen Camilla give an unexpected twist to a historical model of the firm, the Castleford trench, in addition to dyeing several silk scarves to match the outerwear.

The design of this collection has been made in collaboration with the British artist Holly Mills, licensed by the Royal Drawing School, which shows the peak of the summer flowering of the aforementioned gardens in a pattern full of color. “The artist’s vibrant illustrations depict meadows full of flowers and delphinium, Her Majesty’s favorite flower,” she explains in a press release.

But this is not the first collaboration between Burberry and Highgrove. The brand has previously carried out two more collaborations with the royal residence, however, on this occasion and according to the same press release, Burberry wants to pay tribute “to the thoughtful and continuous work of His Majesty Charles III and the King’s Foundation, an organization charity founded by Her Majesty which acts as custodian of Highgrove Gardens.

The pieces in this capsule collection have been manufactured in the United Kingdom with the exception of the four scarves, made in Italy and finished with rolled edges. And highlighting local craftsmanship and the art of clothing is a commitment shared between the King’s Foundation and Burberry, a brand considered British heritage and the holder of the Royal Warrant.

The new Burberry x Highgrove scarves, with a price ranging between 140 and 432 euros, are now available in the Highgrove gardens online store. As for the coats, which are available in two colors, they can be found in Burberry physical and online stores for 2,890 euros.
