The investigating court No. 2 of Amposta, competent in matters of violence against women, has agreed to the entry into provisional prison, communicated and without bail for the man arrested on Easter Monday accused of the murder of his ex-partner in an apartment in the town. Tahis was 34 years old. The case is open for a crime of homicide, as reported today by the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC). The magistrate has sent the alleged murderer to jail after he only answered the questions of his lawyer.

The TSJC has confirmed that at the time the sexist crime was committed, the victim had a restraining order in force against the detainee. The history of mistreatment of the detainee, who will spend his first night in jail, has also been detailed.

There was an open case against the detainee following a complaint of mistreatment in November 2023. As a result of this procedure, Criminal Court No. 1 of Tortosa issued an order restraining him from the victim. The procedure went to trial on February 21, 2024, but the victim did not appear at trial and, with the rest of the procedures carried out in the oral hearing, an acquittal sentence was issued “due to lack of evidence”, as confirmed by TSJC sources. . The acquittal ruling, dated February 21, led, in addition to the acquittal, to the withdrawal of the restraining order.

But a month before this trial, in January 2024, a new complaint occurred. Due to this event, a new case was opened for violation of the restraining order, which at that time was still in force. The murdered woman was then reported for the injuries she caused to her ex-partner. The woman was brought to justice and she was released, as she was being investigated for a crime of injuries. The magistrate issued, as a precautionary measure, an order restraining her from him. The case against the woman for injuries was still open at the time of her murder.

On February 6, both having respective restraining orders in force at that time, they were located together in a home. A quick trial was held where the two attended as defendants for a crime of breach of precautionary measure. That trial ended with a compliant sentence for both where they were sentenced to a sentence of 4 months in prison. A sentence that was suspended, in agreement with all parties, for a period of 2 years.

The Mossos d’Esquadra suspect that the alleged murderer, Jesús F., 47, dismembered the victim’s lifeless body and distributed several pieces between the apartment where it is believed that he committed the crime and several garbage containers in the same municipality. . His plan, after ending the life of his ex-partner a week ago, was to hide the body, make it difficult to identify the victim and avoid being discovered by the police.

His ploy was thwarted on Monday morning, after a friend of his suspected the crime and reported the alleged murderer to the local Amposta police. The agents arrested him on the street on Monday.
