Spanish taxpayers already know when they will face the Tax Agency for the next income tax return. According to the 2024 taxpayer calendar recently published by the entity, the income campaign to settle personal income tax and assets for 2023 will start on April 3, eight days earlier than the last time.

From that moment on, you can consult the drafts online and submit the declaration, either through the Renta Web program or the mobile application, even on the same day for those who want to get the process out of the way.

The next date marked on the calendar is May 7, when telephone service will begin to prepare the income tax return. The last day to opt for this alternative will be July 1.

With June, attention will arrive at the offices of the Tax Agency, where as of June 3, Treasury officials will help in the preparation and presentation of the declaration. The last day of reception will be July 1. It must be taken into account that not all taxpayers can access it.

Until June 26, declarations can be submitted with results to be deposited with direct debit.

At the moment, the dates from which an appointment can be made to go to the Tax Agency offices or to be assisted by telephone, an essential step in these channels, have not been revealed.

It is clearer that July 1 will be the last date for filing the declaration. After that day, the declarations will be out of date and the door will open to sanctions. In the 2022 income campaign, which closed in mid-2023, 22.9 million declarations were submitted, 3.9% more.
