The Hispack parcel sector show, which is held between May 7 and 10 at the Fira de Barcelona venue in l’Hospitalet de Llobregat, has focused on Mexico, Poland, Morocco and Tunisia to attract professionals who They can provide technology and solutions to Spain.

As Fira de Barcelona explained this Friday in a statement, the show wants to promote more than 800 business meetings between visitors to those markets and Spanish suppliers of equipment, machinery and materials in the packaging sector.

The show’s offering in this year’s edition foresees 720 exhibitors from more than 20 countries, with more than 1,250 brands represented in pavilions two and three of the Gran Via fairgrounds of Fira de Barcelona, ??and a forecast of some 27,000 attendees, of which 10% will be international.

In collaboration with Amec-Envasgraf, the show has deployed an international promotion plan this year, with the aim of attracting highly qualified profiles, an effort that focuses especially on Europe, the Mediterranean and Latin America, regions most representative of the usual congressman in the living room.

The commitment to four specific countries arises from the importance of Spanish exports to these areas, both in terms of sales volume and proximity and opportunity for growth.

Specifically, the sector’s technological exports exceed 28.3 million euros to Mexico, about 17.7 million to Poland, another 10 million to Morocco, and nearly three million euros to Tunisia.

Among the actions carried out by the show, the “Hosted Buyers” program stands out, which will select professionals with specific investment projects in packaging solutions, mainly in the four priority countries of this edition.

The organization will also take into account professionals from Chile, which was a guest country at Hispack 2022, from Japan, a prospecting market for this year, and from other countries depending on the investment forecast presented by the candidates.

The “Hosted Buyers” program improves the experience of invited professionals, with exclusive actions to generate contacts and business meetings in the International Business Center (IBC) of the fair, in the third pavilion of the Gran Via fairgrounds.

Likewise, the IBC will host “Japan Day” on May 9, where the Asian country will be presented as an opportunity market for the Spanish packaging sector and activate avenues of cooperation between supply and demand companies from both countries.
