Between rain and a bit of sun, sometimes the beautiful rainbow comes out, as can be seen in this photograph in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.

The long-awaited afternoon rains have been arriving for days and sometimes nature offers us this gift from heaven. I captured the image on the outskirts of the Remei neighborhood, in Vic.

On this occasion the rainbow was very colorful and accompanied by a light double on the outside, crowning a path between the fields, in a green landscape grateful for the rains.

Although the rainbow is a continuous gradient of spectral colors, it is considered that these can be defined in seven fundamental colors: red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue and violet, which are equivalent to those mentioned by the scientist Isaac Newton in 1704. .

Less frequent is the double rainbow, which includes a second, more subdued arc with inverted colors, that is, red inwards and violet outwards.
