The Gorg de Can Basil, in Olot, capital of the Garrotxa, is now lowering with more water after the latest rains, as we see in the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia, a much-awaited contribution of flow by the Fluvià river, which has suffered the drought in recent months.

Can Basil is an Olot farmhouse protected as a Cultural Property of Local Interest. It is located on an upper terrace and is separated from the terraces of Las Fonts de Sant Roc by the old lane.

Its vegetation and natural environment are integrated into the landscape of the Fonts de Sant Roc. On the northeast façade of the Can Basil farmhouse there is an exit that overlooks the Fluvià river.

The Fluvià River rises in the mountains of Collsacabra and flows into the Mediterranean in the marshes of Empordà, near Sant Pere Pescador, after traveling 70 km through the regions of Garrotxa and Alt Empordà.

The surroundings of the Gorg de Can Basil allow you to enjoy a pleasant walk and even more so in spring when the vegetation is in full bloom.
