La Font de la Pineda is a cool corner, with gigantic banana trees that are next to the Tenes river in Riells del Fai, in the region of Vallès Oriental.

One of these trees, portrayed in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia, is so monumental that it is cataloging it as a singular specimen, with its case 26 meters high, with a perimeter of the base of the trunk of 12.38 meters. In addition, the width of the cup is 30.23 meters.

This tree is located in the middle of the Pineda path (which goes to Sant Miquel del Fai), where at the height of this banana tree it forks in two.

La Font de la Pineda is one of the popular picnic areas in this area. The banana tree is accompanied by other trees: barberry, trigger, elder, poplar, ruby ??and other bananas.

This monumental tree has managed to survive despite having suffered several vicissitudes. Between 1992 and 1994, this banana tree was affected by some adversities: first, on the early morning of September 22, 1992, when a hoe moved by a gale stuck into a high branch after flying some 50 meters from a shed; second, in August 1994, when there was a fire in the area; and third, in October 1994, when the water covered 1.5 meters of the trunk.
