The first weekend of August starts with highs reaching 35º in Orihuela

The Valencian Community will experience a Saturday with slightly cloudy or clear skies, and rising or unchanged maximum temperatures, which will reach 35º in Orihuela and 34º in Requena and Ontinyent, according to the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

In addition, a moderate northwesterly wind will blow, occasionally strong, in the north of Castellón; while in the rest there will be a variable loose wind that will tend to the loose south and southeast, with moderate intervals on the coast.

As for temperatures, the minimum will experience a decrease; and the maximums will rise in the interior, with locally notable increases in the northern half, and will remain unchanged or slightly decrease on the coast.

Specifically, in the province of Castellón, the thermometers will record a maximum of 32º in Vall d’Uixó, 31º in Castelló de la Plana, 30º in Vinaròs and 28º in Morella, while the minimum will range between 11º in Morella and 19º in the Uixó Valley.

In Valencia, the mercury will reach a maximum of 34º in Requena and Ontinyent, 32º in Gandia and 31º in Valencia. For their part, the minimums will be between 13º in Requena, 17º in Ontinyent, 19º in Valencia and 22º in Gandia.

Finally, in Alicante, maximum temperatures of 35º are expected in Orihuela, 32º in Alcoi and Elx, and 30º in Alicante and Dénia. The minimums will be 16º in Alcoi, 20º in Elx, Alicante and Orihuela, and 22º in Dénia.

The pre-emergency level due to the risk of forest fires for this Saturday is extreme in the northern interior of Castellón and the interior of Valencia and high in the southern interior and the coast of Castellón, the coast of Valencia and throughout the province of Alicante, according to reports the Emergency Coordination Center of the Generalitat.
