In The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we have visited the Castellarnau House in Tarragona. Apart from the beauty of the building itself, it is worth noting the friendliness of the staff that attends you and makes the visit even more pleasant. The entrance price is only 3 euros and it is very worth it.

As detailed by the Tarragona tourism agency, in the Middle Ages, Cavallers street was that of the nobility. There were the houses and palaces of the main families of the city.

At number 14 is that of the Castellarnau family, preserved as a museum. The patio stands out, with a round staircase and Gothic columns.

The house underwent various reforms and on the main floor you can visit the different rooms with decorative styles basically from the 18th and 19th centuries.

Casa Castellarnau was built at the beginning of the 15th century. From then until the 19th century it was home to some of the most influential families in the city. In 1542 Emperor Carlos I lived during his stay in Tarragona.

On the ground floor the old kitchen has been recovered. In addition, you can permanently see a sample from the Molas i Agramunt collection, a heterogeneous set of archaeological and ethnographic pieces from a wide chronological range.
