Nelson Valente is the author and director of Els gossos, a theatrical success that returns to the Barcelona theater, at the Borràs theater, to portray the daily life of a wealthy family, which is turned upside down by a trifle.

On the stage of the Teatro de la Plaza Urquinaona, Mercè Aránega, Sandra Monclús, Joan Negrié, Albert Pérez and Pau Ferran interpret this piece by the Argentinian author, in Negrié’s Catalan translation.

The synopsis reads: “How many times has our reality collapsed due to the slightest and most ridiculous comment? A family celebration uncovers a labyrinth of secrets buried in the dark soul of everyday life. Stories of love, hate and resentment, recorded in the eyes of the dogs of childhood that are now projected into the present.

Els gossos is a production by the Sala Trono in Tarragona and the Grec Festival in Barcelona exudes the everyday humor of the playwright, who triumphs on the Barcelona billboards in other productions as well.
