In Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we can see the effects of the drought in the Manol riverbed as it passes through Figueres.
At the bottom of the image, you can see the Mare de Déu del Mont mountain, below it the Falgars mansion, and, to the right, the Tossa d’Espinau. To the right, perched, the Bassagoda and to the right, the Canigó.
The Manol River, a tributary of the Muga, normally flows with little flow, but in the photograph it looks dry, as if it had become a desert.
This river originates in the surroundings of the town of Llorona and, after passing next to Figueres, ends up flowing into the Muga river at the height of the town of Vilanova de la Muga.
The mountain of la Mare de Déu del Mont is the highest point in the eastern sector of the Alta Garrotxa and which extends from Camprodon to Maçanet de Cabrenys and from there to Cabanelles.
