Deputies Julia Parra and Javier Gutiérrez have resigned today from their powers in the Alicante Provincial Council after their decision to leave the Ciudadanos Group. This is how they have transferred it this morning to the president of the Provincial Council of Alicante, Carlos Mazón.
The deputy for European Residents and Innovation, Juan de Dios Navarro, now assumes the areas of Culture and Transparency that Parra exercised, while Infrastructure and Assistance to Municipalities – Gutiérrez’s responsibility – falls to the deputy for Highways, Alejandro Morant. Both deputies will collaborate during the remaining two months of the legislature with Parra and Gutiérrez “in order to maintain the strategic lines of these areas and conclude the projects launched,” according to sources from the government team.
After Parra’s resignation, Ana Serna now occupies the only vice-presidency. On the other hand, as the technical services of the Provincial Council have ruled, the advisors of the Ciudadanos Group leave their posts when this political group disappears.
