The collision last night, without injuries, between a Cercanías train with a hundred passengers and a freight train that derailed several of its wagons has caused delays this Tuesday on the Cercanías line between Guadalajara and Alcalá de Henares, which only has one of the tracks in operation and provides service with a shuttle train in both directions.

According to EFE sources from Cercanías, the incident occurred late this Monday due to a reach without serious damage between two trains, one from Cercanías and the other from goods.

Several wagons of the latter derailed and early in the morning they were still occupying one of the two tracks, waiting for the technicians to assess the damage and proceed to remove them.

As a result of the event, the service between Guadalajara and Alcalá de Henares was initially interrupted, which affected lines C2, C7 and C8, and a bus was set up to transport passengers.

First thing in the morning, the service was interrupted between the two stations, although before 7:00 a.m. circulation was opened on one of the tracks, which has enabled a shuttle train that rotates in both directions, although with a lower frequency than usual.

The other trains on lines C2, C7 and C8 start and end their journey in Alcalá de Henares, and also run with delays in both directions.

On the other hand, also early in the morning the breakdown of a Cercanías train between the Sol and Nuevos Ministerios stations has caused delays on the C4 line, and an incident in the infrastructure in Pinar de las Rozas -already solved- has caused delays on lines C3a, C8 and C10.
