The PP has reached an agreement with Vox for the government of the Balearic Islands that will allow the popular Marga Prohens to govern alone. With the agreement, the far-right formation will facilitate the investiture as president with its abstention, but in exchange, the PP leader assumes many of the programmatic principles that Vox has been imposing in its government agreements after the municipal and regional elections of 28-M .
Among the most outstanding points of the agreement are the elimination of Catalan as a requirement in public service, the repeal of the Trans-autonomous law, the concept of “domestic violence” is installed when talking about “social and family policies” and promotes “A Shock Plan Against Illegal Immigration and Occupation”. These and some other outstanding measures of the initialed agreement are detailed below.
-The agreement includes the elimination, within the first 100 days of the legislature, of the inheritance and gift tax for all inheritances between parents and children, between grandparents and grandchildren, and between spouses. Between brothers or between nephews will be reduced to 50%
– Progressive reduction until the total elimination of the wealth tax.
-The pact will defend cruise tourism, managing the flows of boats and visitors and avoiding the feeling of saturation for residents.
-The agreement aims to modify the regulation of bullfighting and animal protection, specifically article 12 that currently prevents minors from accessing bullfighting events.
-Defense of hunting “making it easier for hunters to control pests and guaranteeing the same rights and obligations as those of the rest of the autonomous communities”.
-They promise a Balearic coast law to “guarantee the compatibility” of the activities of “beach restaurants or beach bars” with the preservation of the coast
– The pact promises to repeal the law of memory and democratic recognition of the Balearic Islands and “the destruction of monuments and historical elements will be avoided, ensuring their correct maintenance and their knowledge within the historical context”
-The Government of the PP will modify the norms “that suppose a linguistic imposition”. Thus, it will guarantee that ignorance of Catalan does not penalize access to public service.
-The Balearic government agrees to eliminate the Office for the Defense of Linguistic Rights.
-It also promises to suspend the current application of the Lomloe, the Education law.
-Marga Prohens must approve a comprehensive law for the protection of the family that includes measures to promote the birth rate with aid for birth, adoption and foster care.
-The pact also agrees that “we will demand the repeal of the Trans law and “we will modify the regional law”, so that women “are and feel protected in private spaces such as changing rooms or bathrooms, as well as in the field of sport “.
-Assistance for “support and fight against violence against women”, also working on prevention “identifying the causes and repeated profiles of the aggressors”.
-Work to eradicate “sexist discourses, whether civil or religious.”
-“Support and assistance for domestic violence, especially that suffered by women, children and the elderly”.
– Urge the Government of Spain to “identify the rapists who have been released thanks to the yes is yes law.”
-Approve a new childhood law, which is intended to establish measures “against the indoctrination and manipulation of minors and violence in all areas: family, school, social networks…”.
– “End with the policies “interventionists, prohibitions and attacks on private property developed by leftist governments in the last 8 years.”
-Demand from the Government of Spain the regulatory modifications that make possible “the express eviction in 24 hours” of those who illegally occupy a home.
-Approve “an immediate shock plan against illegal immigration, occupation and growing insecurity.” It is intended to have the “documentary collaboration” of the State security forces and bodies to identify these people in an irregular situation “with the aim of proceeding with their repatriation in accordance with the law.”
