The comfortable electric gravel bike to enjoy nature

Currently, taking into account the wide and growing showcase of proposals that integrates the electric bicycle sector, cyclists have enormous possibilities when it comes to searching until they find the alternatives that best fit their preferences. A segment that has grown strongly in recent times is that of gravel, where the model that stars in this article is framed.

Ease of use and versatility are, without a doubt, two of the great assets of this type of bicycle, features that are also shared by the renewed electric Volta Gravel, from the Italian manufacturer Basso. Known for its hand-built bikes, the brand combines three areas in a single vehicle in this model.

We are referring to sports driving on the highway, adventures on dirt tracks and urban journeys. To do this, it combines robustness and low weight in a versatile proposal designed to offer great possibilities on multiple terrains. Built from a lightweight carbon frame and fork, the Volta weighs in at just 15.2kg.

To offer greater functionality, the Volta Gravel frame is equipped with specific supports for the installation of fenders and luggage racks, if the user so wishes. In addition to this, the vehicle incorporates a hub dynamo capable of powering accessories such as bicycle lights or even recharging small electronic devices during the routes.

In order to obtain a higher level of comfort, the Italian manufacturer has conceived a specific design for the Volta Gravel frame. And it is that, instead of having a standard seat post, the electric bike presents the so-called 3B Clamp System.

This system is a lightweight fixing solution that is fully integrated and concealed, combining technological and aesthetic innovation. Do not overlook its resistance and its three screws, responsible for achieving the necessary support. In addition, the system also has an anti-vibration function that provides more smoothness and comfort on uneven and bumpy surfaces.

As far as electrical assistance is concerned, this novelty from Basso incorporates a Polini EP3 motor, which offers 250 W of power and a maximum torque of 75 Nm. The motor is powered by a 500 Wh battery, integrated into the down tube, which offers an approximate range of 200 kilometers for each full recharge. An additional 250 Wh battery is possible for those who need to further increase the range.

To be able to consult different parameters of the route, the bike is equipped on the handlebar with a 2.5-inch TFT Polini color screen with automatically adaptable light. Data such as pedaling power, motor assistance levels or remaining autonomy, among others, appear here. Through an associated mobile app, additional customizable features can be accessed.

As for the price, the range of the electric Volta Gravel starts at 5,899 euros in its basic version. In the video that accompanies this article, you can see the predecessor variant of the renewed Italian bike in full action.
