The Civil Guard intercepted 46.7 kilos of fish and seafood at the exit from the port of La Rápita (Montsià) without documentation and that had not passed through the fish market. Four people received a complaint for violating the Fisheries and Maritime Action Law.
Among the seized fish were prawns, galleys and soles. It is estimated that the seized food had a price of more than 2,000 euros in the market. The fish and seafood will be delivered to a social entity once they pass health controls.
The Civil Guard of Tarragona is strengthening the control of fishing activities these days due to the proximity of the Christmas holidays and with the aim of avoiding the illegal sale of these fishing products.
