Four years after the creation of the Victims of Abuse Service, the Bishopric of Sant Feliu de Llobregat has approved two documents: a framework protocol to prevent abuse of minors and a manual of good practices to impose “zero tolerance” with the abuses that Pope Francis has ordered.

The two documents, as reported by the Bishopric of Sant Feliu, have been prepared following “the indications and protocols of the Vatican and the Spanish Episcopal Conference (CEE), although adapted to the circumstances that we can find in our diocesan reality.”

The protocol and manual will be disseminated through informative and training sessions throughout the diocese to raise awareness among all diocesan authorities that they must “always act seeking the well-being of minors and vulnerable people and guarantee a safe environment for all people”, reported the diocese.

For this, in the usual end-of-year meetings that take place during the month of June in various ecclesial bodies -such as the Presbyteral Council, Diocesan Pastoral Council, archpriests, diocesan delegates, etc.- they will present the new documents with which the diocese has been endowed.

The final meeting of the course for priests and deacons will also be dedicated, next Tuesday, June 13, to instruct all the workers of the diocesan Curia in this matter, in a course that will be given by the members of the Service for Attention to Victims of Abuse : the coordinator and priest Josep María Domingo; the lawyer Matilde Gala and the psychologist Laura Jiménez.
