The big cloud of the Beatles in Vic

In The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we can see these large rain clouds in L’Atlántida de Vic (Osona), captured from the perspective of the zebra crossing, as if it were the famous pedestrian crossing of Abbey Road, in the neighborhood Londoner from St. John’s Wood, who immortalized the members of The Beatles.

Music and contemporary performing arts come together in this building in the capital of Osona, L’Atlántida, an authentic avant-garde complex in the region. But not only the artistic activities, but the meteorological phenomena make their way, in this case, the ballas clouds of rain.

It’s been half a century since the famous photo of the zebra crossing with the Beatles, who crossed from left to right and vice versa, with the only indication that they not look at the camera.

Meanwhile, the Scottish photographer Ian McMillan, recommended by Yoko Ono, took the pictures in just 10 minutes. He took six unique photos.

McMillan, standing on a ladder in the middle of the street, immortalized that scene. And the fifth snapshot that he took was the one chosen to go down in history.

In Vic, we see a single extra passing through the pedestrian crossing with the big cloud in the background, but it is still an image that reminds us of the spirit of Abbey Road.
