In this series of images in La Vanguardia Readers’ Photos we can contemplate the beauty of the low mists, at ground level, when the sun rises in Manlleu, in Osona, with golden colors.

Osona is the area of ??Spain with the most days a year with this meteorological phenomenon, which consists of the suspension of very small water droplets in the atmosphere or of humid hygroscopic particles, which reduce horizontal visibility at a distance of a kilometer or more.

If the phenomenon gives a vision of 1 km or less it is considered fog; and if it allows you to see more than 1 km, the phenomenon is fog.

In this sequence of photographs we see how the arrebol or candilazo advances through the fog at dawn. It is the orange color that is seen in clouds illuminated by the sun’s rays.

Finally, we can also observe how the fog covers the fields at ground level, as if it had emerged from the earth itself.
