In the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we can observe female fallow deer crossing the shallow pond of Cortalet, in the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà.
In the images we see an autumn landscape in these important marshes. These wetlands are located between the end of the course of the Fluvià and La Muga rivers.
El Cortalet has a parking area and information, also from this point we can choose between several trails and various observatories of ponds, birds, fauna and vegetation.
One of the itineraries goes from Cortalet to the Matà farmhouse. It is brief but intense. It allows you to observe in a complete, accessible and enjoyable way a good part of the most emblematic habitats and species of the Aiguamolls.
Round trip along the same path. From Cortalet to the Matar farm there are 2.5 km (GR92). Although it is a short route, it allows you to lengthen your view and observe the great variety of birds that find refuge in this area throughout the year.
