This weekend begins the high bathing season on the beaches of Barcelona. Throughout the summer and until September 11, the facilities for rescue and first aid are open to the public from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The beach for dogs, on Llevant beach, is one of the services that will be launched this Saturday, coinciding with the high bathing season, from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. This area is delimited with perimeter fences to prevent dogs from leaving and has information and cleaning services, as well as street furniture adapted to dogs and users.
In the Beach Directorate building on the Bogatell breakwater there is a lilac point, which offers, from San Juan, an awareness-raising, prevention and care service for sexist and LGTBI-phobic violence, and also has itinerant staff in the different beaches. It operates from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday through Sunday, and complements the purple night spots that are set up in the beach area.
The inclusive changer on the Nova Icà ria beach is also operational, as well as the other services related to accessibility on the beaches. Public toilets are open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

On the other hand, it should be noted that we are in a drought episode, and for this reason it is necessary to save water on the beaches and make responsible use of it, for example, using the showers only if it is essential.
Likewise, there will be an information team to answer questions about biodiversity and the marine ecosystem, which will share good practices for its maintenance.
