471 Diagonal is now called Aura. After nearly four years of work, the old El Corte Inglés building, a few steps from Francesc Macià Square, finally completed its transformation into a large office complex with spaces dedicated to gastronomy, restaurants and commerce. Its promoters trust that what was the men’s floor and the rest of the offices will welcome up to 2,000 workers from very prominent international firms in a few months, up to 2,000 highly paid super prime office workers. Its landing will be a revolution for the surrounding area.

Additionally, Aura also wants to establish a relationship with the neighborhood and the rest of the city. The lower part of the building, around 6,200 m2, will be used for commerce and restaurants. An El Corte Inglés gourmet supermarket will open here before the summer. A couple of operators have already shown their interest in opening restaurants within a few months. Aura also has three floors of parking, charging for electric cars, spaces for bikes and scooters and an auditorium. It also has a rooftop of 1,400 m2 and a terrace of another thousand.
The promoters would like a single company to make Aura its headquarters, its corporate headquarters. But most likely, a few large companies will share it. The idea is that each tenant stays with at least half a floor. Some firms have already expressed their interest in settling here. But the talks are still in the making. In fact, the workers are still finishing removing the dust from the work. Everything indicates that the rent per square meter will be around 30 euros.
