Spring has exploded in all its splendor in the Osona region, with fields full of color, the vision of snow in the distance on the peaks of the Pyrenees and the storks that make a stop on their migratory journey.

All these elements can be enjoyed in the surroundings of Manlleu, as can be seen in this succession of images in La Vanguardia’s Readers’ Photos.

The Osona region has become over the years an obligatory stopping point and meeting point for storks, which gather here before continuing their migratory journey.

The white stork (Ciconia ciconia) is a large species of bird. Its plumage is mostly white with black on the wings. And the legs and beak of adults acquire a red color.

The stork measures an average of 100 and 115 cm from the tip of the beak to the end of the tail, and its wings can reach a span between 155 and 215 cm.
