The Metropolitan Area of ??Barcelona (AMB) has launched two new Metropolitan Bus lines to connect Gavà and Viladecans with Barcelona via two express lines, the X83 and the X84, respectively.

According to a statement this Tuesday, the AMB has registered a total of 105.3 million trips between November 2022 and October 2023, the interannual record that “will allow us to reach a new annual record of tickets in 2023”, which was set before of the pandemic.

In addition, this Thursday the new night line N20 that connects Sant Boi de Llobregat with Barcelona will begin to circulate and will mean a “reduction of 20 minutes, 33% of the time”, compared to the existing N13 that connects the two cities in one hour.

“The Metropolitan Bus service is one of the most important backbones of metropolitan mobility and has to live up to the needs of citizens. For this reason, given the increase in users, we expand and improve our offer,” he said. explained the vice president of Mobility of the AMB, Carlos Cordón.

Thus, other lines between metropolitan cities have been reinforced, such as L82 and L85 (which modify the route), L77 (which extends the distance covered), and 204 new buses have been put into circulation.
