The 12-M in Barcelona: the PSC wins in 58 neighborhoods and Junts, in 11 concentrated in the upper area

The PSC is the winner of the elections to the Parliament in Catalonia, in the city of Barcelona and also in the vast majority of neighborhoods in the Catalan capital. A total of 58 of the 73 territories into which the city is divided opted in Sunday’s elections for the candidacy led by Salvador Illa, while Junts has won in 11 neighborhoods and the PP has done so in the remaining four.

The victory of the PSC in the city of Barcelona has been cemented in the six districts that fell on the side of the socialists, this is Ciutat Vella, Horta-Guinardó, Sants-Montjuïc, Nou Barris, Sant Martí and Sant Andreu. It wins in all of them, without exception. On the other hand, they do not manage to be the first political force in any of the neighborhoods of the district of Sarrià-Sant Gervasi.

The best PSC records are in Nou Barris and specifically in the neighborhoods of Ciutat Meridiana (49.1%), Vallbona (45.6%) and Baró de Viver (45.6%). It also maintains a strong presence in Sant Andreu, Sagrada Família, La Verneda i La Pau and Carmel. At the other extreme, the worst results occur in the Tres Torres (17.5%), Sant Gervasi-Galvany (19.2%), Sarrià and Sant Gervasi-la Bonanova (19.7%)

The eleven neighborhoods that have chosen Carles Puigdemont’s list as their favorite are Vallvidrera, Tibidabo and les Plaines, Sarrià: el Putxet and el Farró; Vallcarca and the Penitents; health; Vila de Gràcia; the Camp d’en Grassot and Gràcia Nova; the Courts; the New Esquerra of the Eixample; the Old Esquerra of the Eixample and the Right of the Eixample.

Together, in addition, they are the second force in 35 neighborhoods. Its highest percentages are located in Vallvidrera, Tibidabo and les Plaines (31.6%), Sarrià (29.0%) and La Salut (28.7%), while it has very little relevance in Ciutat Meridiana (5, 1%), les Roquetes (5.5%) and vallbona (5.6%)

The four neighborhoods in which the PP surpasses all other political forces are three of them located in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district (Sant Gervasi-Galvany; Sant Gervasi-la Bonanova; les Tres Torres) and one in the Cortes (Pedralbes).

In a fateful day for the Republicans, Pere Aragonès’ candidacy has its best results in the historic centers of Sant Andreu, Gràcia and Sants, as well as in some neighborhoods of Eixample and les Corts. Erc is the second force in 6 Barcelona neighborhoods.

For the Municipalities, the areas of greatest implantation are Vila de Gràcoa, Sant Andreu, some neighborhoods of the Eixample and Sants, as well as in Guinardó, Poble Sec and Poblenou, although with slightly worse numbers. It is the second force in two neighborhoods.

Vox stands out in Sant Gervasi-Galvany and Sant Andreu and is second in four neighborhoods and the CUP has a notable presence in Gràcia, Sant Andreu and Sants and almost no visibility in the neighborhoods of Nou Barris and others in the upper area of the city, like Pedralbes and the Three Towers.

Aliança Catalana fails to penetrate the capital of Catalonia and only reaches the bar of 3% in the neighborhood of La Clota (3.2%).
