Technology takes Fabra i Coats. The second edition of the Tech festival
“We are used to our activities being aimed more at professionals at the Mobile World Congress and the entire digital community, but the vocation of this festival is to show what is developing in the digital world in an easy, understandable way and playing with experiences. of these digital technologies without forgetting the real world,” highlighted Eduard Martín, CIO of the Mobile World Capital foundation.
And precisely one of the highlights are the more than 15 technological experiences that visitors can experience first-hand. Among the different exhibitors, there is an immersive installation to enter the Barcelona Supercomputing Center or a circuit that simulates the old layout of the Montjuïc Formula 1 circuit with some very special cars: Hispano Swiss cars. It is also proposed to take a trip through the industrialization of Catalonia, an experience that was already seen during the last edition of the Mobile World Congress. Fun is also guaranteed and it shows what the playgrounds of the future will be like.
In addition to learning about the latest developments in the sector, family workshops have been scheduled, such as Family Day, a day that will be held on Sunday and will bring technology closer to the little ones. In parallel, there will be talks and debates with experts in a festival in which about forty entities collaborate showing the technological advances in people’s daily lives.
The event was inaugurated with the institutional parliaments with the presence of the CEO of Mobile World Capital, Francesc Fajula, the general director of the digital society of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Liliana Arroyo, and the deputy mayor of the Economy area of ??the City Council of Barcelona, ??Jordi Valls, among other attendees. The organizers hope to surpass the figures of the last edition with more than 2,000 visitors and hope to reach 4,000. Admission is free with prior registration.
The festival is organized by Mobile World Capital Barcelona and has the collaboration of the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence of the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Service, the Generalitat and Barcelona City Council, with the support of CaixaBank and Damm.
