According to his family, Technoblade, a YouTuber well-known for his Minecraft videos died around a year after being diagnosed with cancer. He was 23 years old.

Technoblade’s father shared the sad news about his son’s passing to his over 11 million YouTube subscribers in a video called “so long geeks”

The father played a posthumous message to Technoblade. He expressed his gratitude to all his fans and revealed that his real name is Alex. As both fans and creators prefer anonymity, aliases are more common in the gaming community.

“Hello everyone, Technoblade here. He said, “Hello everyone, Technoblade here. “Thank you to everyone for supporting my content throughout the years. If I could have another 100 lives, I believe I would choose Technoblade every time. Those were the best years of my life.

Technoblade’s father then receives the emotional video and describes how he recorded his son’s message.

His father said, clearly emotional, “I don’t think he said all he wanted to, but I think that he got the main point points.” He finished it and was done. He lived another eight hours.

His father said, “We all said goodbye. He was the most incredible kid you could ask for. Technoblade is my favorite.

Technoblade revealed in August 2021 that he had been diagnosed with Sarcoma. This is a rare type of cancer that develops in bones and soft tissue like the muscles and tendons.

Technoblade’s family posted on their website that a portion of the merchandise sales from his online store would be donated in his honor to the Sarcoma Foundation of America. This non-profit funds research and raises awareness about the disease.

Many, including YouTubers, have mourned his passing on social media.

“I had the chance to express to Technoblade my admiration and respect for him, both for the huge impact he had upon all of us but also for his amazing humor, even in the darkest hours,” Quackity, another popular YouTuber tweeted.

He said, “I will be missing him so much. Rest in Peace

Eret, a Twitch streamer tweeted: “Technoblade is someone so many people looked up to. We are grateful for all you did for so many. Without you, the world will not be the same.”

His family shared a long statement at the end his last video: “We, Technoblade, wanted you all to know how much he loved and respected his colleagues and fans.”

His family stated that Technoblade tried to connect with his audience by sharing rewards, building community and posting his Minecraft adventures.
